WELCOME TO COTY FARQUHAR'S STYING GARDENS IN THE SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS OF NSW AUSTRALIA

My garden blog filled with beautiful flowers and trees, seasonal fruits and vegetables, clever ideas and tips and just wonderful gardens. Like so many I adore gardens, however I am not a garden expert, this garden blog is purely for pleasure showcasing beautiful gardens that I am lucky to explore. I would like to share with you a small part of my life living through each season in many lovely gardens in the Southern Highlands and country areas of NSW, Australia

Early Morning Winter's walk

I really should go for a walk every morning, but I just don't.... probably because there is always so much to do and also I can get a little lazy in winter. Since my two children (teenagers) are on holidays at the moment I have had more time to do some favourite things. There is a wonderful walking track along the river near where we live and Bec and I went for an early morning walk this week and it was wonderful. The wind was very cold and it blew all the cobwebs out of my brain. Yay.... now there's room for some more ideas, I always get so inspired and filled with ideas when I walk. There is nothing like a good brisk walk in winter.

That's me above, and look at those yummy rays of energy coming down from the Sun that Bec caught in this photo, I wonder what I was thinking at that time.

If ever you're in the Southern Highlands, you must walk this track. It's perfect for all ages and bike riders as well. It's almost like walking right through the middle of someones country property with all the cows & horses on one side. I love the colours of the grasses and the fields in Winter. Don't forget to bring your gloves..... it's really cold.

Bec down on the river, and yes the water was freezing

Wishing you a wonderful week xx Coty

  2. It´s strange to hear about your winter, when we´re enjoying our summer here in Sweden. But I really love your beautiful photos!

  3. Coty,
Brrrrrr! You are so right, there is nothing better than a brisk walk on a sunny day. A great way to clear the head & spend cherished moments with Bec indeed.
It is a dark and rainy day here in lexington but a very welcome one. I have Collier & Gracie snoozing here in the studio and I am blogging away. Ahhhh my favorite kind of day.
I wanted to tell you that TLPC is now proudly dislaying your gorgeous Styling photo that you have allowed me to use to tell new friends all about your garden.
I think it just might be time to wake up the sleepy-heads here and go for a walk in the rain.

Old country gardens, wonderful stonework, beautiful old trees and new buds. Ponds full of fish and floating flowers.

Wonderful colours and shapes throughout the season, gardens filled with blooms, gardens filled with colour.

Seasonal blooms, flower work, inspiring garden designs, fields full of flowers that makes person like me what to go and pick every single flower and fill lots of old baskets.

Some of my artwork, I love to paint flowers and gardens and I always paint on huge canvases, this painting I worked with charcoal and paint.

Lots and lots of interesting ideas and images throughout each season.

Great garden tools, clever gardening tips and links to makers of fine tools
